Ok but not brilliant.. May 9, 2010 Mr Jungle (UK) This book will appeal to average 9yrs +. The language is simple and plot pretty straightforward. I've used it as a class novel for my year 5 class and most of them liked it..
Superb! April 7, 2010 C. A. Carey (west sussex) I was totally gripped by this book. Being a year 5 teacher I like to spend my holidays reading a few new children's books. I read this from cover to cover in one day and simply coudn't put it down. The pace and humour are perfectly engineered by the author and it should appeal to any child between the ages of 9-13.
Wonderful! April 4, 2010 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am 9 and my Mum bought me this book after we saw it winning the Book of the Year award from Blue Peter. I am reading it now and I love it, I just can't put it down. I think that it really deserved the Book of the Year prize.

Frozen in Time March 23, 2010 Loopy from Bristol (Bristol, South Glos United Kingdom) I bought this book after seeing that it had won Blue Peter 'Book you couldn't put down award', for my 9 year old son. But I have to admit I started to read it and I couldn't put it down (so, sorry but he had to wait). Loved it!!
a wonderful read February 20, 2010 Belle Loudon (London, England) I absolutely loved this book. It's exciting, mysterious and funny and keeps you guessing to the very last page. Anyone reading it is in for a fantastic adventure. It says on the book for ages 9 and upwards, but adults would enjoy it too.
