Do not buy!!! July 18, 2010 Mrs P I bought this for my scooby doo mad 4 year old for xmas, it was the biggest waste of money ever. The mansion is very poor quality, it falls apart at the slightest touch so is virtually useless. The parts are now at the bottom of his toy chest after several attempts of play and will probably be thrown out to make room for next xmas toys. You would only by this online or from ARGOS etc because if you saw it out a toy shop you can see how cheaply made it is.
DO NOT BUY PROBABLY THE WORST MADE TOY IN THE WORLD!!!!
A definite "Don't Buy"! March 27, 2010 nmmerri Looked fun at first but just finished putting this together and it is terribly flimsy. I'm sure it won't last more than a couple of weeks - what a rip-off! It had come apart in the box and there was a sticker missing from the 'revolving bookcase'. Seriously, don't waste your money. The manufacturers must have serious quality control issues as the Mystery Machine vehicle we bought from the same range was supposed to be a 'pull-back' toy but there was no mechanism in the housing so the wheels just spin freely. Hopefully they review their feedback and will sort this kind of thing out.
Such a shame March 12, 2010 Mrs. Emma J. Davies Don't bother with this! Everytime we put it together it just comes apart again! We bought it for our 4 year old for Xmas and It just sits in the corner of our living room in pieces as it's so flimsy! It could be such a good toy if it were just better made, very dissapointed!
Could have and should have been better! February 16, 2010 Jimmy (England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very poorly made, keeps falling apart.said had a revolving book case but disappointingly was nothing of the sort as one side was blank and the other side some sort of tin cans picture? Not that it was like a secret entrance anyway. The idea would have been good if they made it out of wood like a doll's house converted into a haunted mansion. My son likes it as loves scooby doo but gets frustrated as keeps falling apart. It was over priced and came with no figures.
Waste of money January 24, 2010 Rosa (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As other reviews have said, this is terribly made. It just keeps falling apart, the pieces don't stay where they should. My sons broke a part within the first hour of playing with it. Thankfully they are not Scooby Doo fans so don't play with it much. I just bought this because it was half price, but its not even worth that. Its utterly pointless as I have to join in playing with them because all the bits keep falling off - its good if you are looking for a construction toy! But I don't think that was the manufacturers intent! It doesn't close properly either - there is no catch to secure the two halves together so have to be careful moving it. There is not anywhere really obvious to store the staircase when you want it closed either, although I have managed to find a way, but a child couldnt do it. They should take this toy off the market and redesign it, its terrible.
